EDITORIAL: The courage to fight corruption

We all know the gentleman Mr.Corruption.We may not entertain him openly but would not mind taking his help if needed. We know he is always around the corner. We also know that Mr.Corruption has mighty friends like cabinet ministers, government officials, police officers, private contractors, and also a huge fan following because he makes things easy for them all. They celebrate this relationship by throwing grand parties.

Friends of Mr Corruption are very protective of him, and would go to great lengths to protect him. If they feel that Mr. Corruption is threatened they would not hesitate to harass, punish and silence those who disturb the peace of Mr.Corruption.. Hence Mr Corruption is a very powerful man. So powerful that the once mighty truth has to mellow and pay obeisance to him.

There are however a few souls on earth who have realised that Mr Corruption is actually a sweet coated virus which will kill the foundations of the society. The best thing about these few is that they have taken the help of the now tiny guys like Mr. Truth and Mr. Courage to fight this powerful Mr. Corruption.

We are proud in having a chance to present a strong couple who are doing their best to fight this monster gentleman called Mr. Corruption.

Mrs Jayashree Kumar is the wife of a sincere IAS officer, based in Bangalore who has taken the courage to fight it out openly. Her analysis of the problem shows her deep concern to the average poor man of the country.

How can you help ! Quit your jobs, give away your family duties go to Bangalore and march down the streets hoping for justice. No that’s not we are asking you. Show her that you support her fight though you cannot be in it personally. Do some basic E.networking to spread the awareness. The Indian politician has a good ear for acoustics of high decibels.

We are trying to talk to newspaper editors in Canada and feature her work. We are also trying to talk to NGO's who work to prevent corruption. This needs your E-networking support. Considering the email traffic each one of us negotiates each day, this may sound minor but its for a noble cause. No pretensions. This is a noble cause. You retain the right to feel good about it. I feel nice in asking for your E.networking support.

An interview with Mrs Jayashree J.N
